Agricultural machinery market “has exploded” – UCAB - 22.03.2011

According to the data of Association “Ukrainian Agribusiness Club” ( UCAB) the volume of foreign trade of agricultural machinery in Ukraine has increased in 2.3 times since the beginning of the current year comparing with the same period of 2010: agricultural equipment export has increased by 14%, while import of the same output has enhanced by 181%. Ministry of agricultural policy and food of Ukraine plans to provide John Deere Company (USA) the State guarantee to supply agricultural producers of Ukraine with highly efficient grain harvesting machinery within National project “Grain of Ukraine”. Within the project up to 1000 combines will be supplied. Without new machinery agriculture will lose 7.5 billion UAH – UCAB - 24.12.2010

In the conditions of state support shortage to agriculture and loss of opportunity for farmers to sell products at currently high world market prices because of export quotas an efficient budgetary funds usage is becoming more and more important. Alfred C. Toepfer International (Ukraine) LLC today announced that it is the first Ukrainian company to be certified for sustainable biomass per the EU-approved International Sustainability and Carbon Certification System (ISCC). The independent certification body PCU Deutschland GmbH certified Alfred C. Toepfer International (Ukraine) LLC, its suppliers and service providers. Share of 10 largest agrarian companies in grain production has reached 13.5 % - 21.06.2010

The only branch of Ukrainian economy – agriculture that since starting of crisis had shown increase in gross product, gave up last month. After previous harvest and by the end of last year the agricultural output increase was over 17%, and since beginning of current year till July the slight contentious rise reached 3.8% it changed with sharp step-down almost to a negative value, having only 0.4% of growth in August.
