Ukraine imposed ban on pork import – 28.04.2009

Ukraine has imposed ban on import of pork from four countries: Mexico, the USA, Canada and New Zealand. The ForUm informs, referring to the information of the State committee of veterinary medicine of Ukraine.
 
“In accordance with worsening of epidemiological situation concerning swine flu “A” H1n1 on the territory of Mexico, USA, Canada and New Zealand, it is forbidden to import pigs, pork and products from pigs from the above-mentioned countries to Ukraine,” the press secretary of the State committee of veterinary medicine of Ukraine said.
