In the first quarter of 2009, the index of industrial production in Russia totaled 85.7% compared to the first quarter of 2008, in March 2009 the index totaled 86.3% compared to March 2008, and 111.1% compared to February 2009, declared the Federal Service of State Statistics.

In the first quarter of the current year, flour production in Russia totaled 2.5 mln tons, up 8% compared to the same period of the previous year. Groats production increased by 24.6% - to 314 thsd tons.
