Azarov: Ukraine has enough buckwheat for everyone – 30.08.2010

Prime Minister Mykola Azarov announced Aug. 27 during a cabinet meeting that said that the state has sufficient reserves of buckwheat, wheat, grain and other food goods to maintain stable prices for food.

Azarov said that over recent years, in late summer early autumn, the demand for certain groups of foodstuffs is artificial, adding that speculators who use the heightened demand at expense of citizens, will face problems with the state.

Acting chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Popov on Aug. 26 ruled out cereal price increases for Kyiv.
