Ukraine: Crimea increased prices for agricultural products by 17% – 24.03.2010

In January-February period of 2010, in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (Ukraine), prices for agricultural products increased by 16.7% compared to the level of January-February 2009, declared the Main department of statistics of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

According to the announcement, selling volumes of plant growing products decreased by 33%, at the same time, the growth of prices for plant growing products totaled 40.4%.

In January 2010, in the Crimea, the general selling volumes of agricultural commodities by agricultural enterprises increased by 8% compared to January 2009, in the terms of increasing of prices by 20%. In January-February period of 2010, selling volumes of agricultural products on markets of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea lowered by 0.2%, at the same time, the prices grew by 15.7%.
