Within 2009 agrarians harvested 1,200 MT fiber flax, down 60% against 2008 – 20.01.2010

As reported State Statistics Committee referring to 2009 main agricultural crops harvesting results, within 2009 agrarians have harvested 1,200 MT fiber flax, down 1,800 MT (- 60%) against 2008. As to report, 2009 fiber flax average yield was 6,6 metric centners per ha (up as of 5,1 metric centners per ha in 2008); fiber flax was harvested at 1,800 ha (down against 5,800 ha in 2008). As to Agro Perspective earlier report, in 2008 agrarians harvested 3,000 MT fiber flax, down 800 MT (- 21.1%) as of 2007. As to Agro Perspective, in 2007 agrarians had harvested 3,800 MT fiber flax, down 1,600 MT (- 30.2%) as of 2006.
