As of 2009, vegetables crop rose by 4.2%, up to 8.302 mn MT – 20.01.2010

In 2009 agrarians have harvested 8.302 mn MT vegetables, up 337,000 MT (+ 4.2%) against 2008, reported State Statistics Committee referring to 2009 main agricultural crops harvesting results. As to report, 2009 vegetables average yield was 182 metric centners per ha (up against 173,9 metric centners per ha in 2008); vegetables were harvested at 456 ha (down as of 457,9 ha in 2008). As to Agro Perspective earlier report, in 2008 agrarians harvested 7.965 mn MT vegetables, up 1.13 mn MT (+ 16.5%) as of 2007. As to Agro Perspective, in 2007 agrarians had harvested 6.835 mn MT vegetables, down 1.223 mn MT (- 15.2%) as of 2006.
