89.2% of winter crops are good or satisfactory – 09.03.2010

Winter crops have perished on 25,300 hectares, which is 0.3% of the acreage. 920,000 hectares or 10.8% of the acreage is in dissatisfactory condition, the agricultural policy ministry says.
 
Winter crops on 3.8 million hectares are in a good condition (44.5% of the total acreage). 3.81 million hectares or 44.7% of the crops are in a satisfactory condition.
 
Winter wheat is good on 3 million hectares (45.2% of the acreage), satisfactory on 2.95 million hectares (44.5%), weak and thinned on 0.69 million hectares (10.4%). Barley is good on 0.63 million hectares (40.3% of the acreage), and satisfactory on 0.73 million hectares (46.6%).
 
37.8% of winter rape is good, 41.4% satisfactory, and 20.8% weak and thinned.
