Ukraine Railways raises transit tariffs for several ports-bound cargoes – 09.02.2010

Ukrzaliznytsya, the State Railway Transport Authority of Ukraine announces it has revised the tariff terms for transit of commodities of the agreed discount rates with commercial seaports. The changes were made as well in the list of ports, as the railway tariffs rates, RZD-Partner.Ru IA reports. The changes are introduced until Q2 2010.

The Ukrainian SRTA statement said the Kerch CSP handling transit iron ore was replaced by Berdyansk port transshipping grain, alumina and feldspar in the list of agreed transit tariffs.

The country’s transport administration has raised the tariffs for the listed ports, charged for cargo transit via railroads. The larger tariff rate growth falls on agri-cargoes (shipped via the ports of Odessa and Reni), iron transit (in Illichivsk and Odessa), coal (ports of Yuzhny and Kherson) and iron ore (Yuzhny, Kherson, Reni port).

Other tariff rate positions included in the list of privileged transit commodities via seaports are reported unchanged, at 2009 level.
