Ukraine. Illichivsk seaport cuts cargo turnover by 8% in eight months – 06.09.2010

The Illichivsk Commercial Seaport, Odesa region, south of Ukraine, in January-August 2010 reduced goods turnover by 7.6% to 10.098 million tons compared to the same period in 2009, the seaport said in an official statement.

In August this figure fell by 16.7% to 1.245 million tons against the same period last year.

The Illichivsk Commercial Seaport is among the four largest Ukrainian ports. It has manufacturing facilities allowing to handle more than 30 million tons of cargo a year. A 6-km mooring line with 29 berths is located here.
