Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine forecasts the level of spring grains sowing areas throughout 7.3 mln ha – 04.03.2010

In the current year, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine forecasts the level of spring grains sowing areas throughout the area of 7.3 mln ha, which almost corresponds to the previous year level, declared the Ministry on March 3. According to the Ministry, the definite crop structure of the sowings areas has not been determined yet. Taking into the account the areas of winter sowings at the level of 8.6 mln ha, in the current year, the general sowing areas will total 15.9 mln ha. To date, agrarians of Ukraine sowed spring grains throughout 35 thsd ha in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
