17 th annual conference "Biogas-efficient and reliable" – 14.12.2007
The boom and the euphoria gave way to disillusionment in 2007. Instead of the expected 500 to 800 bio-gas plants, hardly 200 new systems started producing electricity. Many owners and businesses find it hard to survive in face of the dramatic rise in the prices of substrate and the uncertainty about the amendment of the EEC directive. The motto of the 17th Annual Convention of Fachverband Biogas is efficiency and reliability. We want to show owners and actors how to make the operation of biogas plants still more efficient. The papers will discuss the future of the industry, the cultivation of biomass crops and the efficiency of using the biogas produced. A running translation into English of all papers will be provided for the benefit of our international attendants. The Annual Convention takes place in cooperation with the European Compost Network (ECN) for the first time. The ECN organizes a 2-day conference (in English) on waste fermentation will bring this to-pic in focus once more. The detailed agenda of the Conference which will take place at the London Conference Hall of N?rnbergmesse on 16 and 17 January 2008, is available at www.compostnetwork.info/. In response to the overwhelming success of last year's Convention, we will again organise workshops at the 2008 Convention at which discuss specific topics will be discussed in detail. Accompanying the Convention will be Europe's biggest pure Biogas Exhibition with over 150 exhibitors and more than 2,000 square meters exhibition area.Inform yourself of the future of the industry, meet experts and together with us contribute to giving biogas use a future.
